Endometriosis association
Endometriosis is a chronic disease which is painful that affects ten to fifteen percent of women in fertility age. The main cause of this disease is that the tissues that should be inside uterus are found on the organs outside the uterus.
The organs where these tissues are found are ovaries, fallopian tubes, between the area of vagina and rectum and on the ligament that support the uterus. The tissues are not at the right place and they also respond the menstrual cycle in the same manner as uterine cycle do. This disease results in internal bleeding and inflammation. It causes lot of problems such as pain, infertility, scars and many other problems.
Symptoms of endometriosis
There are many common symptoms of endometriosis. The pain that a woman experience does not depend on the level of the problem. Some women with fewer problems can feel greater pain as compared to those with more problems. Woman experience pain during and after intercourse. Pain can be felt before and during periods. It affects the ability of woman to become pregnant. It causes fatigue. It can cause problem during urination. Bowel movement is a painful experience during periods. Other problems related to stomach diarrhea, constipation and nausea. The woman also suffers from the other problems like allergies, yeast infection frequently and chemical sensitivities. Laparoscopy is needed to know all kind of information related to endometriosis. It detect the location, size and the extend of endometriosis in the body. This diagnosis is good to make better treatment.
Causes of endometriosis
The main cause of endometriosis is that during menstrual cycle some tissues passes through fallopian tubes and plant itself in the abdomen and grow there. Some hormonal problem also causes endometriosis. It is also caused due to problem of in immune system of women. Some research also shows that the problem of endometriosis is also carried in genes. Surgical transplantation is also a cause for endometriosis. Many dioxin and toxic chemical products like pesticides are responsible for endometriosis. In some women a menstrual tissue backup can cause endometriosis. All the causes of endometriosis are formed from research and as such causes are unknown.
